The 61st Copa del Café Main Draw will be played in 2026 from 19 to 24 January. For this year the Copa has had 218 registrations all told for Boys (203 in 2025), and 202 for Girls (221 in 2025), from 58 countries. Since each Main Draw is for 32 players and the Qualy for 32 as well, the registration is greatly oversubscribed. This means stellar tennis talent again for 2026.
As of this writing, with fresh ITF ranking data that eliminates players who passed on from juniors on December 31, we have the Boys top seed Damien Clerc of France with the best ranking of 65, followed by rankings of 66, 68, 72, 73 and so on with altogether 11 boys in the top 100. Position no.22, the cutoff for Qualifiers comes in at 135. So this is a strong field. Qualifier rankings start at 142 and go through 373.
The Girls listing includes 4 top 100 players, headed by Welles Newman of USA. world no. 49 and with the best WTN rating of 15.25. The 22 position cutoff for Girls is 172, and the Qualifying ranking range from 173 to 454. Of the first 26 Girls on the list, 5 return from 2025.These numbers for both rosters are very solid, especially considering that the 61st Copa is going head to head with the Australian Open juniors in terms of dates, and players ranked below 50 mostly go to Australia.
